Triumph of the Dowel

Anna, after an impossibly long run of impeccable behaviour, earned herself a spanking. And she decided to take me up on my offer.

And so, last night, my girl received her first cane stroke.

I had planned on photographing this milestone to document Anna's survival, but decided, upon witnessing the extent and honesty of her fear, that it was best to leave photography for another time when she was less in need of comfort and feeling more like showing off. You'll have to take my word for it when I tell you that her pretty bottom looked even prettier after it was decorated. *grins*

Gaelin,
Thanks, I am at peace with the decision. I have been thinking about taking it up again, but I don't know for the moment I am at peace with having left it. Lots of decisions have to be made though and some of them depend upon each other. Oh, how I hate numbers, and even worse when they creep into normal life. It's nice Anna gave you a 19 day vacation for my birthday :) One of my friends wants to kill me for dropping the program and another one is equally unhappy with it, but I am ok for now. I did get an odd email from someone asking if I am next going to become a man...I might post about how odd an email it was.

LOL. Hi sweetie, sorry for my slow response time this week! I will definitely write the other side of the story as soon as I have a chance. I read your post about the prospect of becoming a man. Very interesting! More soon, but for now we're off the pub for a little sauce to celebrate a religion we don't practice! Beer is the religion and St. Patrick was just a man. ;)

Is it green beer? In chicago they dye the river green in honor of st. patrick's day. Anyway, I have some other posts I am going to write. I figured that one on becoming a man would be. I found it an odd question since I love men and don't want to be one....Cheers :)

Cheers to you! I hope you enjoyed hoisting a few green beers yourself. Here, it is easy to find green beer on March 17th, but I prefer mine unadulturated. I'd never heard of Chicago's tradition but was fascinated to learn of it. I wonder how it's possible and what sorts of damage it does, ecologically speaking?
